A birth is a fast paced event, filled with emotion and often with poor lighting. Hiring a professional to document your birth gives quality and lasting images of these special moments while allowing all those present to be in the moment and to be supportive. With a professional photographer, the reactions of loved ones will be included in the images, instead of them trying to take the photos themselves.

Birth Photography documents all the incredible moments and emotions usually starting from active labour, throughout delivery, and up to approximately two hours post delivery. During this time, I will capture all the elements that make up your unique birth experience so that you can have a lasting memory to cherish and share for years to come.

I understand that your birth story is a very intimate experience, and I am honoured to be invited to document those moments for you. My primary goal is to capture the emotions and joy in your birth experience and I strive to do that in an unobtrusive manner where you and your partner both feel comfortable.

We will discuss your birth plan, your comfort level and how you would most like your birth story documented. This includes where I stand and what I photograph during delivery.

Birth Photography includes:

  • pre-birth consultation
  • 24/7 on call status for 2 weeks surrounding your due date
  • documentation of your birth experience from active labour until 1 - 2 hours post delivery with no time limit
  • 4x6 printed proofs in a custom keepsake box
  • digital collection on usb

Additional products are also available.

I am happy to also offer Maternity, Fresh 48 | Just Born, Newborn and Combination Packages along with Gift Registry options in Ottawa and surrounding areas.

It’s AMAZING!! We both cried. Just breathtaking. You really told a story! So many images are fantastic. Thank you!
I can’t stop looking at the labour photos, I love them a lot...they are really so special to me. Each picture has something well thought of hidden under it...they are beautiful.
I wish that we had thought to hire a photographer when our son was born. The few photos I do have are not in focus and (the father) isn’t in them anyway!
Looking back at my deliveries, I so wish I had something like this. The kids will love it when they are older.
